Since 1970, January has been known as National Blood Donor Month. During this month many organizations which host blood donations like the American Red Cross encourage others to make time to donate blood and join the nearly 11 million people who give blood each year.

Make Your New Year’s Resolution Stick

It’s very easy to make New Year’s resolutions but most of us have a difficulty of sticking to them!

Resolutions take focus, planning, and a determination to stick with them for the same amount of time it takes to change a habit.

 

It is important to remember that the New Year isn’t meant to serve as a means for extensive character changes.

Every so often I take an ethical account of my life up until the exact moment of where I am at in life. I call it “my check up from the neck up.”

I do this as a way of personal development when I feel as though I have made some poor or unsuccessful choices or if my attitude is not what it should be.

The days are getting shorter and the weather is cooling off. You know what that means? It’s almost time for Daylight Saving Time to end.

Daylight Saving Time will end at 2:00 AM on Sunday, November 5th. Mark your calendar today so you don’t forget – otherwise you’ll be an hour ahead!

Daylight Saving Time is a great time to remind us to do little things around the home that should be done everything six months.
